How often does the location update?

Pawfit offers different location update frequency depending on which tracking mode it is in.

In passive mode, the location is updated between 30 seconds and 2 hours, depending the activity level of your pet, and the availability of GPS and phone signal. The more active your pet is, the more frequently Pawfit updates its location. If your pet is running, the typical update interval is around 1-2 minutes, given that there is reliable GPS and phone signal. If battery saving mode is enabled, the location update interval is between 30 seconds and 4 hours.

During Live Tracking (find) mode, your pet’s location is updated once every 5 seconds.

During Walk mode, the location update rate alternates between passive mode and live tracking mode. Premium customers have the option to set the location update rate during Walk mode to every either 20 seconds or 40 seconds.
