Question
What is live tracking (find mode) and how do I enable it?
Answer
Live tracking is one of the location tracking modes. Once enabled, the tracker refreshes your pet's location every 5 seconds. It also forces the GPS module to stay active for 10 minutes, maximising the chance of getting a GPS fix in challenging situations, i.e. your pet is in a dense wood where GPS signal can be weak.
Live tracking only lasts for 10 minutes to prevent the battery from being drained too quickly. You can re-enable it after the previous session has ended.
We recommend using live tracking only if your pet is lost, or when you need an immediate update of the whereabouts of him/her.
You can stop live tracking after it has been enabled, by tapping the same button. If you'd like an immediate update of your pet without draining the battery, you could enable live tracking and once the tracker returns a location showing GPS strong, you can then turn it off.
Once live tracking ends, the tracker returns to passive tracking mode.
