If your Pawfit is taking longer than the recommended charging time, please try the following:
- Check the charging cable
Inspect the charging cable for any visible damage, wear, bent connections, or debris. Make sure the cable is connecting securely to the tracker. In most cases a replacement charging cable resolves the direct issue. - Clean the charging contacts
Check the charging contacts on both the tracker and charger. Gently clean them with a dry, soft cloth to remove any dirt, dust, or residue that could prevent a good connection. - Try a different power source
Connect the charger to a standard 5V mains USB power adapter where possible. Avoid multi-port chargers, USB hubs, or other power sources that may provide inconsistent power. - Check the charging connection
Make sure the tracker is positioned correctly on the charger and that the charging indicator appears as expected. If necessary, remove the tracker and reconnect it. - Try another compatible charging cable
If you have another Pawfit charging cable available, try this to establish whether the original charging cable may be causing the slower charging. - Allow the tracker to charge uninterrupted
Leave the tracker connected until it indicates that it is fully charged. Avoid repeatedly disconnecting and reconnecting it during the charging process. - Check whether the issue continues
If the tracker is still taking significantly longer than expected to charge, please contact Pawfit Support and let us know approximately how long a full charge is taking. Where possible, include a photo of the tracker charging contacts and charging cable so we can investigate further.
