Question
What can I do when my tracker is lost?
Answer
Pawfit offers a few features such as live tracking, light/sound and Bluetooth tracking to help you locate your lost device.
If your tracker still has battery, you can try the following steps:
Open the Pawfit app and turn on FIND. To learn how to turn on live tracking please refer to: What is live tracking and how do I enable it?
Let FIND run for a few minutes to allow the location to stabilise while you move toward the last strong GPS point.
Keep the app open and watch the Bluetooth icon on your pet’s status card or the bigger Bluetooth icon on the right of the map screen.
Once both Bluetooth icons flash blue, it means the tracker is nearby, usually within a few metres.
Tap the big Bluetooth icon on the right to see how far you are away from the tracker, and move around till the Bluetooth signal strength bar shows green.
Once the Bluetooth signal shows green, your phone should vibrate, indicating that you are very close to the tracker. At that point, turn on the alarm and light features to help pinpoint it.
If your tracker runs out of battery, you can go to the last location that had a STRONG GPS shown on the history screen.
