Symptoms

My tracker has alerted me that my dog has left the safety zone but it is actually charging at home/my dog is actually in the house.

Resolution

Because GPS only works in open space with a clear view of the sky, any obstacles between the satellites and the tracker can have an impact on the accuracy. When the tracker is indoors, the tracker may receive partial reflected GPS signal or no signal at all, either may result in a significant reduction of the location accuracy. If the safety zone size is too small, you may be alerted with false alarms. Ultimately, this is not a limitation of Pawfit, but more related to the general tracking technologies by using GPS. We recommend to our customers to keep the minimum radius of a safety zone as 100 metres to avoid any false alarms. Please refer to this link for how to edit a safety zone:
