How can I edit or add a safety zone?

To set up a new safety zone/virtual fence, please open the Pawfit App, sign in your Pawfit account and navigate to ‘Profile > Your pet's profile > Tracker settings > Safety zone', tap the '+' icon on the safety zone management screen and you will be able to select where the zone is and the radius of it.

If you would like to update an existing zone, please navigate to the same screen and tap the corresponding safety zone card and edit the area and radius for a new location.

Due to the accuracy limitation of GPS technology, we recommend the minimum radius of a safety zone is 100 metres to avoid any false safety zone alarms. This is not a limitation of Pawfit, but more related to the general GPS tracking technology.

You will receive a notification whenever your pet crosses any of the zone borders that you have allocated. Once you receive the safety zone alert, you can use Pawfit's feature of voice commands- on the right hand side of the map page. Select one of the 5 pre-recorded Pawfit voices to call your pet back.
